Communication : Problem-Solving
STRATEGY: Problem-Solving

Problem Solving must be systematic, clear, and concise. If the same dialect is used betweeen you and your partner, the chances of reaching a solution that both parties feel good about is greater.

LD/ADD individuals are often viewed by others as inconsistent and illogical, due to their difficulty keeping focus. This can be a very difficult stigma to overcomewhen trying to discuss problems in a relationship. I am sure you can recall many times that a discussion, between you and a loved one, went from civilized to screaming in a matter of minutes.

Studies have shown that keyword/keyphrases are very useful to setting the stage of what is to come for an LD/ADD person.

Having a "script" is an essential tool in conveying wants/needs and coming to a mutual understanding.

Using the "script" as a problem-solving tool is a good way to keep focus on the actual problem, instead of veering into how you feel about the problem.
